BRIEF: Man taken for mental health treatment after Hellertown standoff

Feb. 13--HELLERTOWN -- A 49-year-old Hellertown man was taken to an area hospital to undergo a mental health evaluation after pulling a firearm on a woman Sunday afternoon on the 100 block of Main Street, police said.

Hellertown police said the man pulled the gun on the woman during a domestic dispute. After a short standoff, the man surrendered and was taken for a mental health evaluation, police said. No one was charged as of Sunday night, according to police.
